The Room Parent position is the main contact for your child’s classroom and communicator between the PTA, teacher and parents. You will attend a kick-off meeting at the beginning of the school year where you will receive a handbook and helpful information to get you off to a great start.
Duties include:
- creating/distributing a class roster,
- soliciting parents to help with PTA sponsored events throughout the year,
- sending monthly email updates from PTA to parents on your room roster.
You will also coordinate committees for the three classroom parties and assemble/distribute the volunteer schedule for the parents helping in your classroom.
Note: If more than one person volunteers for this role, we ask that one takes a lead role.
