Grant Program Outline
The Coyote Creek PTA has allocated funds in the annual budget to award grants to Coyote Creek educators and/or administrators. The purpose of the grants is to encourage the implementation of new, innovative programs that will enhance the education of current and future students of Coyote Creek Elementary School.
The voting members of the PTA will establish a dollar limit for each grant each year. This limit may be set by establishing a “pool” and dividing the pool by grade level, classroom size and/or number of teacher/educators. For the 2009-2010 school year the dollar limit per grant has been set at the following:
- Teacher Grants award up to $200 each
- For individual teachers or grade level teams
- There are 6 Teacher grants available totaling $1,200
- Initiative Grants award up to $300 each
- For campus projects and cross-grade initiatives or groups
- There are 5 Initiative grants available totaling $1,500
Guidelines:
- The proposed project must be relate directly with a standard and/or benchmark for the particular grade level, and must be consistent with the grade level curriculum.
- Only one grant may be awarded to a teacher/educator per school year.
- Teachers must be Coyote Creek Elementary PTA members.
- Grant awards must be used towards the purchase of non-consumable materials and all materials are property of Coyote Creek Elementary School.
- Grant applications are to be submitted to the PTA Executive Board via the PTA in-box in the copy room. The Board will review the grants on behalf of the Association and present the applications to the PTA members at the next regularly scheduled PTA meeting for adoption and the recipients will be notified.
- The deadline for Teacher Grants is October 13th, 2009
- The deadline for Initiative Grants is January 12th, 2010
