Welcome to Coyote Creek Library Page
This school year has flown by. Our library has grown by 975 volumes this year. Our collection contains 14,854 items. The circulation statistics are quite impressive with the total number of checkouts this school year at 17,082.
Our Spring Book Fair was again very successful. Thank you to all of the great parents who shopped and helped at the Book Fair. Our intake was almost $18,000.00 and our cash profit was $4,105.00. No wonder we were constantly busy! I owe a huge thank you to Cindy Starsiak for continuing to coordinate the book fair. Everything runs so smoothly because of you, Cindy. To all 32 volunteers who helped set-up, work and take down, we couldn't have done this without you! We had a great turn out on family night. The Book Fair opened for two hours of shopping and prizes. The ice cream that was sold in the MPR was a big hit along with the fun activities for the students. Everything was geared towards our beach theme. A huge thank you goes to Alison Yocum who once again planned and coordinated this wonderful event. You did another outstanding job, Alison! Another thank you goes to the generous students and parents who purchased books from the Teacher's Wish lists to enhance their classroom libraries.
As I write this, I am getting ready for our next Book Fair that will be a Customer Appreciation Book Fair-Buy One Get One Free I hope you are able to stop by and stock up on books to read this summer.
The library's Adopt-A-Book program will once again be held during registration in August. This is an opportunity to help support the library and all proceeds go directly to the library to purchase more books and supplies. The money from these library fundraisers is the main source of income for the library budget.
The library is the heart of Coyote Creek School and we would like to continue to serve all of our wonderful students.
Have a wonderful summer. Enjoy your children and please encourage them to read. The public libraries have a terrific summer reading program. Also, here are a few web sites that will lead you to summer reading resources for your child:
