Student Leadership is a great place for children who want to make a difference in the community. This outstanding group of children take on the challenges of being strong school leaders who will benefit our community. In October all of the fourth and fifth grade children who were interested in becoming school leaders submit an essay discussing their qualities that make them good leaders.

The duties of the leaders include helping with:

  • the Halloween parade,
  • organizing the toy and food drive for our sister school, Nystrom, Children Helping Children
  • organizing the school wide recycling program,
  • determining spirit days and other activities.
Students have also written letters to save the homeless shelters in our county, sent postcards to the troops in Iraq , and participated in Creek Kids Care for the benefit of Fresh Start, a program for homeless people.
