HALLOWEEN PARADE AND CELEBRATION THURSDAY 10/30/14

Coyote Creek Elementary School students kick off Halloween with a costume parade on Thursday, October 30th. at 10:00 A.M. on the blacktop. Parents and siblings are welcome to attend. We ask that all guests enter through the side gate and not through the office. All volunteers and visitors on campus will be asked to sign in on the blacktop area near the basketball courts prior to the parade. Kindergarten parents may sign in at their child's classroom. Dougherty Valley High School Marching Band is scheduled to be at Coyote Creek to provide great music. We look forward to seeing you at this special event.
Please park in a legal spot on the street. We need our loading zone clear for the band’s bus.
Please bear in mind that we will be following the adjusted Wednesday schedule. TK and Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 11:45. Students in grades 1-5 will be dismissed at 1:27.
Common Core Community Forums
The Community is invited to attend a Common Core Forum hosted by the district on Oct 20 at Charlotte Wood Middle School in Danville and on Oct 23 at Iron Horse Middle School in San Ramon. These are from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. Please see the attached flyer for more info.

The district is hosting two new information nights in our on-going series of Common Core Community Forums. These Fall forums are scheduled to take place from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, October 20th at Charlotte Wood Middle in Danville and Thursday, October 23rd at Iron Horse Middle School in San Ramon. The evenings will begin with a brief general session followed by a variety of workshops designed to highlight the students’ classroom experiences with a Common Core aligned curriculum. Sessions will be facilitated by district teachers and instructional coaches and will cover topics ranging from math problem solving to science literacy to technology, as well as assessment, reading and writing in grades kindergarten through high school. Please plan to join us to get a first-hand look at what teaching and learning looks like in classrooms today.
